Capucine - Leather bucket bag

The Capucine is a singular leather bucket bag, conceived as a balance between creative expression and artisanal precision. Its floral-inspired opening unfolds like a corolla, revealing smooth coloured leather gussets that add depth and visual refinement.

Originally designed more than twenty years ago by Alain Massip and fully reworked by his son Olivier, master artisan at De Grimm, Capucine embodies the continuity of a family savoir-faire passed down through generations. The current version has been carefully softened and lightened to offer a more fluid wear while preserving the identity of the original design.

Handcrafted in our Bordeaux workshop, Capucine features a short top handle for hand carry and a longer strap for shoulder wear. Its balanced proportions provide practical capacity for everyday use without compromising elegance.

The outer structure is crafted from high-quality grained cowhide leather, selected for its durability, structure and ability to maintain clean lines over time. The smooth coloured leather gussets bring a refined contrast and highlight the precision of each assembly and stitch.
