Louison - Small leather satchel bag

A symbol of a Bordeaux art of living defined by balance and restraint, the Louison is the compact version of the Elise satchel. It preserves the same soft lines and overall harmony, in a lighter format designed for everyday movement.

Entirely crafted in our Bordeaux workshop, the Louison is made from full-grain grained cow leather, selected for its suppleness and durability. This leather provides the ideal balance between structure and comfort, allowing the bag to keep its shape while remaining pleasant to wear.

Its adjustable strap allows the bag to be worn on the shoulder or crossbody, offering freedom of movement throughout the day. Its compact size is designed to carry the essentials with ease, making it an ideal everyday bag that remains elegant, practical and discreet. The main zip closure secures the contents of the bag, while a rear zip pocket with quick access keeps essential items within easy reach.

Like the Elise satchel from which it is derived, the Louison incorporates the Maison’s signature codes, including the marine-inspired snap hook, used on De Grimm creations for more than thirty years. This subtle detail provides a distinctive signature while reinforcing the connection between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.

Its name pays tribute to Louison, the grandmother of Fabienne and Olivier. It evokes the spirit of transmission at the heart of the Maison: the passing of gestures, stories and objects from one generation to the next.
