Zelie - leather satchel bag

The popularity of crossbody bags in our shop has not declined over the past years, it kept getting stronger. After the “City”, the “Iris” and the latest “Victoire”, our offer of small models was well covered… Nevertheless, our customers frequently asked us for a soft bag carried across the body in a larger size, in the style of a satchel.

Olivier MASSIP our master artisan has never made that many prototypes before proposing not just one but two perfectly accomplished bags. We present today the “unidentical twins” Elise and Zelie in the honor of Louise MASSIP – Maurice’s spouse, Olivier and Fabienne’s grand-mother – which were her second and third middle names.

The satchel DE GRIMM Zelie is the “rock and roll” version of this latest creation, with it studs and perforations in the lower corners. Filled with belongings, this bag folds naturally in the middle.

The fixed and adjustable strap allows you to carry it on your shoulder once it is doubled at its shortest length: it then measures a useful 70 cm.

Once it is set to its maximum useful length of 111 cm, it is perfectly suitable for crossbody. Such a strap length requires a discreet and sturdy seam on its two sides… it is normal and has no impact on the durability of your handbag over time.

By popular demand, we provided “Zelie” with a quick-access back zipped pocket. Its main compartment is closed with a zipper, for better security. We chose grained cow leather for a better structure and resistance, and silver-colored accessories. You’ll notice natural leather details on all colors, distinctive of the DE GRIMM brand.

The inside is lined with an Italian-made fabric treated against pulling. It holds one zipped pocket, one leather flat pocket for smartphone and one leather tie with a snap-on hook for your keys. It is entirely made in France in our own studio, and you’ll find it exclusively in our E-shop or our downtown Bordeaux boutique.
